What happened?

mini_dee

Been a while since I have written anything on here. Well, not much you can do when a baby is thrown into the mix; so to speak. You soon find that all that time you had to do something “”nothing time”” disappears into a black hole… Well not really mostly changing nappies (diapers).

Crayon Shin Chan… In English?

One of my favorite anime in English. Interesting and surprisingly good.

Monpachi

It’s been a few years but back in the day (whatever that means) indie band gone big Mongol800 or Mongol Happyaku or in the Japanese tradition of shortening everything ‘Monpachi’ ruled the J-music roost for a little while. This is ‘Chiisana Koi no Uta’ or a ‘A Song About A Small Love’.

Rapper Lil Wayne trying a little too hard to be profound in an interview. A little creepy but Katie Couric handles it like a champ.

Old Reverend Knocks It Out Of The Park For Obama

This is civil rights icon Rev. Joseph Lowery giving the benediction (end of service prayer) after Obama gave his inaugural address. I’m non-religious and I would prefer a nice clean separation of church and state but after a shaky start Dr. Lowery kills it with this beautiful (and cute) prayer wishing the best for the new President and the nation. Stay with it until the end… a little silly but funny.

Maybe even better was this sermon he gave a few years ago at the funeral of MLK’s widow Coretta Scott King. Listen to the part where the rhyme loving black pastor blasts one of the four presidents who attended the service.
